For engines, this typically occurs because the OEM has created a warranty claim for an engine that has not been associated with a boat record, but this can also occur when a engine is marked as Shipped by PEG to one dealer, but is trying to be registered as a component by another.
For the OEM claim scenario, during the Add Claim wizard, the status of the engine is forced to change to Received and the dealer is changed form *PEG Uninstalled to the OEM's in house account.
For the PEG shipped scenario, PEG is manually changing the dealer on the engine.
Because the engine is now showing as under a real dealer, no other dealer can use Register a Component for it. It can only be registered as a component under the dealer the engine is listed under.
To remedy this and allow a different dealer to register the engine component, the engine has to be changed back to the *PEG Uninstalled dealer to Shipped status. This should be a request made to Pleasurecraft to do.
